ontagnana is a charming walled-city of the 14th century. Its mighty battlemented walls is more than 2 kilometers long and includes 24 towers and several defensive works, such as "The Castle of Saint Zeno" and "The Fortress of the Trees". The city wall is considered one of the greatest examples of medieval military architecture in Europe.


n special occasions the town returns to its past. Parade in period costume, banners, flag bearers, archers, artists and musicians, weapons and costumes; attempt to reproduce images and sound of the middle ages.
